Rob MacLean – Chief Executive Officer

Chief Executive Officer of Points. Mr. MacLean is a founder of Points and has served as Chief Executive Officer of Points since its beginnings in February 2000. As CEO, Mr. MacLean champions the vision for Points and directs an exceptional team of executives. Mr. MacLean has led his team to deliver a suite of innovative solutions for the global loyalty industry, earning a growing number of partnerships with the world’s leading loyalty programs as well as numerous industry technology providers.

Prior to founding Points, Mr. MacLean recorded an impressive list of leadership roles and achievements during 12 years in the airline and loyalty industry. As Vice President, Sales with Canadian Airlines International, Mr. MacLean led a team throughout North America, delivering over $2 billion in annual revenue. Mr. MacLean was responsible for the airline’s award-winning Canadian Plus loyalty program and also served as Canadian Airlines’ senior representative on the Oneworld™ Alliance’s Customer Loyalty Steering Committee.

Mr. MacLean is an active member of the global loyalty community and has spoken frequently at industry events worldwide.

Mr. MacLean is a member of the board of directors of Prodigy Ventures, a TSXV listed technology company, and is a past member of the board of directors of Hope Air. Hope Air is a national charity that helps Canadians get to medical treatment when they cannot afford the flight costs. Mr. MacLean also sits on multiple advisory boards in the technology industry.

Mr. MacLean is a graduate of Acadia University.


Christopher Barnard – President

President of Points. Mr. Barnard is a founder of Points. As President of Points and its subsidiary Points.com Inc., Mr. Barnard is currently responsible for corporate strategy, corporate development and investor relations. He has also held various interim operating positions at Points including Chief Financial Officer, as well as being responsible for both product development and marketing.

Mr. Barnard has been instrumental in developing significant commercial relationships and key strategic partnerships with various parties over the company’s history and in 2015 he was named as one of the 100 most influential leaders in Fintech globally. In his corporate development capacity, Mr. Barnard has been instrumental in raising capital for Points, including multiple equity financings and a strategic investment from InterActive Corp/IAC, a New York based, NASDAQ 100 leading internet firm. He also led Points’ corporate acquisitions of MilePoint, PointsHound and Crew Marketing as well as the strategic partnership with Amadeus IT Group S.A.

In 1998, Mr. Barnard co-founded Canada’s first internet business incubator, Exclamation International, from which Points was created. Prior to Exclamation, Mr. Barnard was with HDL Capital, a Toronto boutique merchant bank. While at HDL he assisted a number of companies in entering the public markets, including Bid.com which was, at the time, one of Canada’s most notable internet technology stories. Mr. Barnard holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario.


Danielle Brown – Chief Marketing Officer

As Chief Marketing Officer, Danielle is at the helm of Points’ marketing strategy responsible for driving growth through data science and analytics in order to continuously improve brand, partner and performance marketing tactics. She also leads our business operations functions, including product delivery and support services, while ensuring overall customer and partner satisfaction remains a top priority.

With 20 years of experience spanning loyalty platforms, entertainment, wireless, retail and tech, Danielle has navigated and built marketing teams from growth-stage startups to international market players with robust revenue streams. She is regularly invited to speak at national and global marketing engagements and contributes to various industry publications with her solution-oriented insights.


Erick Georgiou – Chief Financial Officer

Since joining Points in 2008, Erick has been extensively involved in all aspects of finance and has been an integral part of our success. During his tenure at Points as both Controller and VP of Finance, Erick has overseen a broad range of finance functions, including accounting and external reporting, business planning and analysis, treasury, tax, and risk management.

Prior to joining Points, Erick held senior finance positions at Goldman Sachs Canada, CIBC, and a real estate investment trust. Erick began his career at PwC as a CPA, CA.


Inez Murdoch – Chief People Officer

Inez leads the charge on strategies to attract and retain results-orientated, entrepreneurial, collaborative team players with a passion for loyalty. She ensures that Points has leading employer practices to support a team creating innovative products and services for industry partners. Inez previously held senior HR positions in the technology and financial sectors. She holds an undergraduate degree from Western University and an MBA from Queen's University.


Chris Boyd – Head of Product

Chris relocated to Toronto from San Francisco in 2019 to lead the product team at Points in pursuit of our long-term strategic goals. Previously, he oversaw product development and marketing analytics at PointsHound, which he co-founded (acquired by Points in 2014). Chris’s extensive travel industry experience includes eight years in various product development roles at Switchfly, most recently as Vice President of Loyalty Product, and eight years at Travelocity, where he led the launch of Travelocity's loyalty platform.


Jay Malowney – Chief Commercial Officer

As Chief Commercial Officer, Jay oversees Points’ commercial growth and performance, including business development, relationship management, marketing, growth teams, and strategic partnerships. Jay joined Points in 2013 as Senior Vice President, Partner Relationships. He has more than 20 years of experience in the loyalty sector building and managing strategic partnerships and delivering loyalty marketing strategies. Previously, he held various senior roles at LoyaltyOne, including leading their successful expansion into the Brazilian marketplace with the Dotz coalition loyalty program.


Don Dew – Chief Technology Officer

Don is passionate about building innovative technology products and great technology teams. He has over 25 years of software engineering, operations, and leadership experience, spanning small startups through large public companies across the global finance, telecommunications, and compliance markets. Based in Toronto, Don previously held the role of SVP Engineering & SaaS Operations at Intelex Technologies Inc. Don has a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of British Columbia.
